Tour the Roche Family's Historic
Ranch and Vineyards for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience!
This
one-and-a-half hour guided horseback tour leads you through the heart
of the Roche family’s beautiful 500-acre vineyard estate and
operating cattle ranch. Your relaxing ride will take you through a scenic,
private valley and over vine-covered hilltops, passing through more
than 120 acres of Chardonnay and Syrah vineyards while enjoying views
of bountiful wildlife and the San Pablo Bay below. The Roche
Ranch is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of publicly owned and protected
"dedicated" open space.
Here is a small taste of what you may encounter:
Rolling hillsides dotted
with native California Oaks, Carneros and Sonoma Coast Appellation vineyards,
and San Francisco Bay Area views which take your breath away.
In
the mornings and evenings watch a flock of geese migrate from the San
Pablo Bay to the Roche family’s private 49.9 acre-foot lake, their
haunting cries echoing through the crisp air.
Golden eagles, kestrels,
red tail hawks and other birds of prey slice into the azure sky with
their aerodynamic stunts and dives.
Get
up close and personal with some of the more than 500-head of cattle
which graze on these same lands and the real American cowboys who manage
the herd at a real operating cattle ranch.
Sometimes
on your ride you might even glimpse a wary coyote watching from afar,
before it runs into the shadow of the oaks.
