Sarahbeth Vosburg Invites You to Come Ride with Us!

On behalf of Horse N’ Around Trail Rides, I would like to invite you to come join us for a beautiful tour of the Roche estate and ranch, a place I feel lucky to call “work.” I have been around horses my whole life. Although I have been a local of Sonoma County for almost fifteen years, I spent my early childhood living on my father’s property in Oregon and this is where my love of horses began. At the age of eight until the age of fifteen, I worked summers at Pony Express, a pony ride operation at Howarth Park in nearby Santa Rosa, California. My love of horseback riding continued and when I turned eighteen I began leading guided trail rides on the beaches in Bodega Bay and elsewhere here in the Wine Country. Now, after several years of experience personally guiding horseback tours on the Roche family lands, I look forward to helping you to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience and being your host!

MEET OUR HORSES!!

Banjo – Banjo will take you wherever you want to go. He loves carrots, apples and horse cookies and, if you’re a sucker, he’ll follow you around for just about any treat you’ll offer!

Shanti
– Shanti is a retired racehorse. In his previous career, he competed at Golden Gate Fields and won nine races during his tenure there - but don’t worry, the only racing Shanti does nowadays is to the feeding trough!

Daisy – Daisy was our first lady to be brought on board at Horse N’ Around Trail Rides. A little shy at first from all of the attention she received from her male friends in the stable, she has adjusted well and has a real heart of gold.

Pepper –  Pepper is a real cuddle bug who’s always looking for attention. He loves kids and offers a nice gentle, smooth ride for our guests.

Gabriel –  Gabriel is as gentle as he is beautiful. He has one blue eye and one brown eye and is very attentive to our guests’ needs. Like the rest of them, Gabriel responds well to TLC from our guests.

Hotrod – Hotrod has spent most of his life with Sarahbeth. He is a very sweet horse who has been a riding lesson horse and Sarahbeth’s trail riding partner for the last five years and counting.

Maverick –  Maverick is also a retired racehorse. However, unlike Shanti, Maverick didn’t win any races…which explains why he is so perfect for our mellow trail rides. He is our newest addition to our herd, and we can already tell that he loves it here at the ranch.

Paddy – The oldest and most seasoned trail riding horse in our family, he is the self-proclaimed King of the Roche pasture! Although all of the Roche children learned how to ride by saddling up on Paddy, rumor has it that Paddy has always held Mara Roche dearest in his heart – especially because Mara always gave him special treats after each of her rides with Patty!
