As fresh as a rain drop falling on parched ground, this Chardonnay falls light upon your palate with yellow apple, pineapple, peach and some floral notes which follow with similar flavors of apples, pear and nectarine but also some bright flavors of lime and lemon zest shine through. SILVER - 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
This is a typical Roche Chardonnay with nice brisk acidity and a lingering finish. Aromas of yellow apple, nectarine, citrus, vanilla, peach, quince and a touch of starfruit are plentiful. This crisp mouth filling wine has flavors of nectarine, lime, light spice, and a touch of vanilla. GOLD MEDAL- 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Lovely pink in color with aromas of fresh cherries, roses, summer melon and maraschino cherries. Generous flavors of watermelon, cherry, pineapple and strawberry with a nice, bright acidity on the palate making it a favorite for any occasion!
Coming from two 12-year old blocks on the Roche properties, this Pinot Noir is like a walk through an ice cream parlor with rich aromas of black cherries, strawberries and vanilla followed by bright sweet flavors of chocolate covered cherries and spice . . . and everything nice!
A berry basket filled with bright aromas and flavors of raspberry, black cherry, red currant and strawberry with a hint of spice on the finish. Like our 2012, this Merlot is from three different areas of the cool Carneros region which gives this wine an amazing color, flavor, and a high acid level that are all major factors in making this wine very age-able.
We personally selected two vineyards in Sonoma Valley for this luscious, dark fruit-filled Syrah. A hint of smoky cedar followed with layers of plum, boysenberry and black pepper fill your mouth with flavors that just don’t seem to end. SILVER - 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
This chardonnay is a typical Roche Reserve chardonnay with aromas a-plenty of caramel, pineapple, nectarine, yellow apple and peach. The flavors are similar to the aromas with peach, butter, apple and sweet toffee. GOLD MEDAL- 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Our most award-winning varietal is consistent in style to our other Chardonnays with nice bright acidity and an oaky finish. Aromas are of white peach, apples, melon, kiwi and light vanilla. The flavors include lime-citrus, peach, kiwi and a slight minerality, to accompany the vanilla toast from the French oak barrels. GOLD MEDAL- 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
This is the 26th vintage produced by Roche Winery. The mild weather during the growing season combined with an optimal location for a Pinot Noir vineyard made for an ideal growing environment for high-quality, flavorful grapes. Aromas are of black currants, plums and spices. Flavors are abundant with black currant, anise and other spice with a good acidity and moderately high tannins. SILVER - 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Harvested from three vineyards in the Carneros region, this wine features bright aromas and flavors of raspberry, black cherry, plum and a touch of smoky toast and cedar. This rich, mouth filling wine should age well for many years due to the moderate tannins and a bright acidity.
This is simply the best Pinot Noir we have ever made! A celebration of Roche Winery matriarch and co-founder, Genevieve Roche (1939-2012), this Pinot Noir was crafted by her favorite winemaker, Michael Carr, in an extremely small lot of only eight total barrels. A “first ever,” this cuvée was aged for 22 months in the finest 100% French Oak barrels the Roche family could source. A complex but yet balanced wine, you will enjoy deep aromas and flavors of dark cherry, plum and blackberry and moderate tannins allowing this wine to cellar for several years to come.
This semi-sweet wine packs a summertime punch with aromas of dragonfruit, fresh strawberries, watermelon and white roses.
Especially produced to have very bright fruit flavors of candied raspberry and orange zest with a slate-like minerality.
Like a honey bee buzzing through fresh spring flowers this wine will sweeten your senses with aromas of golden raisins, lemons and honeysuckle and flavors of tropical fruit, citrus, amaretto and golden apple. (375ml)
Our Late Harvest Merlot is full of lush wild berry and cherry on the nose and delivers a memorable silken finish. We cannot pick these grapes or craft this wine unless we experience the perfect conditions late in Fall of mild weather and little rainfall. (375ml)
