We Now Serve Food at Roche Winery!
At our family’s downtown Sonoma tasting room, Roche Winery offers a wonderful Snack Plate Menu which features the perfect wine country fare to enjoy while sipping our award-winning, limited production wines. Enjoy dishes from our menu prepared exclusively by our friends at the Sunflower Caffe’ (located just around the corner from our tasting room!). Visitors to our tasting room simply place their snack plate orders at either our outdoor or indoor wine tasting bar and, shortly thereafter, their plates are delivered right to their table.
We developed this first-of-its-kind partnership on the Sonoma Plaza with the owners of the Sunflower Caffe’, James and Mila Hahn, in Spring of 2010. The concept took off immediately. Tasting room visitors of all types seem to be attracted to our menu, including those who seek “light bites” and glasses of wine prior to visiting a nearby restaurant for dinner, to our famished horseback riders returning from a beautiful ride through our family’s vineyards who want to fill their bellies with local wine country eats, and even to those customers who book private events or parties at our tasting room and choose to order dishes directly off our Snack Plate Menu rather than hiring a catering company to serve their guests. We offer outdoor seating for more than forty guests on our porch and outdoor patio (and can offer additional seating for large, private parties upon request).
Our menu by the Sunflower Caffe’ was designed to include selections made with only the freshest of ingredients. The menu appeals to food lovers of all types. Many snack plates feature locally sourced cheeses and produce. Also, our winemaker, Michael Carr, offers his recommendations on our snack plate menu as to which Roche wines pair best with each of the dishes offered.

The Roche family is pleased to announce we are teaming up with the Lunny family and their Drakes Bay Oyster Company for our “Sip & Slide Thursdays” oyster event hosted at our downtown Sonoma tasting room. Every Thursday 4pm – 7:30pm through September, Drakes Bay Oyster Company will visit the Roche Winery Sonoma tasting room and set up their oyster bar on our outdoor patio. Order your fresh oysters raw on the half shell or barbequed and choose from all of the different sauces and spices Drakes Bay Oyster company provides to go with your fresh oysters.
Already very well received (and attended) by locals, stop by and join us for OYSTERS STARTING FROM $2, WINE SPECIALS, BARREL TASTING AND SPECIAL RELEASES!
“Wine & Roll Sushi Saturdays”
Saturdays, 2 pm – 7 pm.
(August through October)
Come join Roche Winery as we host Shiso Sushi on our outdoor patio where Ed will set up his sushi bar and serve up his specialties…be sure to try the “Roche Roll” made especially for us! Starting at 2pm the sushi bar will be open until 7 pm every Saturday. Lots of very delicious items are offered by Shiso Sushi and, of course, our Roche wines all pair very well with the sushi offered. Menu items range in price from $5 – $15.
