Our Roche Winery tasting room in downtown Sonoma is located just off the famous Sonoma Plaza and is housed in a lovely 1940’s craftsman style building that offers both indoor and outdoor tasting. Customers will be able to taste the family’s award winning wine at the indoor or outdoor tasting bar, while seated and relaxing on the porch overlooking the square, or at comfortable outdoor tables on the shaded patio while taking in all of the action of downtown Sonoma.
The tasting room is just steps away from the historical Sonoma Square home to Sonoma City Park, site of the picturesque city hall and tree-adorned paths with access to two playgrounds and a duck pond. Complimenting our family’s tasting room experience on the plaza are numerous boutique shops, art galleries, and world-class restaurants.
If you like to picnic (and who doesn’t like to picnic when visiting the wine country?), why not picnic at our family’s tasting room? Our guests may bring in their own packed meals or food items and seat themselves at our tables to enjoy (we have outdoor seating for 60 guests!). If “light bites” or small plates of food are what you seek while sipping our wine, you may order off of our Snack Plate Menu offered seven days a week. We also encourage families to bring children and we are dog-friendly.
Our tasting room will continue our winery’s tradition of providing a friendly and comfortable environment to enjoy our premium wines which are only sold out of our tasting room…you cannot find our wines in stores! Our knowledgeable and hospitable staff are always willing to answer your questions about wine, lead you through a barrel tasting of our new vintage, assist you with your reservation to go for a guided bike tour through our family’s historic ranch and vineyards ….or even offer you a recommendation or two regarding some great places to eat, stay or shop here in Sonoma and in the neighboring communities.
So, come on by to taste some of our new releases or simply to say “hi” or “Dia daoibh“ (that’s Gaelic or Irish for “hello!”). For more than twenty years, our family has enjoyed sharing our wines with our local customers here in Sonoma and those who live across the country. We hope to see you soon at our tasting room!
